Little League Opening Day 2008

Yesterday was opening day for Desert Ridge Little League. Tanner, Ty, and Treyson were all super excited for the season to begin. We got to Highland Jr. High at around 10 a.m. and basically set up camp for the day. We didn't get home until around 4:30 and were all pretty sunburned and tired.
Treyson is on the Knights (Coach Pitch) this season has the same coach as he had last year...Coach D. He played left field, and then moved in to play 2nd base. He did great!
Ty is on the Diamondbacks (Minors) this season and also has the same coach he had last year...Coach Shipman. He started the season as pitcher. He threw 3 1/2 innings and did awesome...although he didn't think he did. He played 3rd for the rest of the game.

Tanner is on the Braves (Majors) this season and started off playing 3rd base. He had a great game!! One of his assistant coaches is his coach from his first year in the Minors...Coach Petty. His head coach is Coach Garcia.

Tate wasn't old enough to play this year and was pretty upset when we got to the park and he didn't have his uniform on. I guess next week he'll be dressed in one of the other boy's old uniforms so we don't have to experience the complete breakdown that we had this week!!!

Luckily it passed pretty quickly...

It should be a pretty great baseball season!!

Good Luck Boys!!

How fun! Looking at these pictures remind me of my childhood. I spent my life at the baseball games with Kevin, Chris, and Scott. I love it! Your boys look adorable!!

Do you know that it is below freezing and snowing right now somewhere, like... where WE live? It looks so warm there. So very warm. Oh, how I miss being warm! Winter is NEVER going to end!
