I can't hardly believe it, but Tanner turned 11 on November 27th. Time is just flying by and I really wish it would just slow down a bit. I asked him if he wanted to take a birthday treat to his school class but he said he was "too old for that stuff". Oh...o.k. (sniff, sniff)For his birthday dinner we went to his favorite restaurant, Tiki Wok, and the cute little Asian lady that always waits on us brought him some ice cream with a candle in it and sang happy birthday to him. (If you've ever seen A Christmas Story it was very similar to that, but rather than "fa, ra, ra, ra, ra" it was "hap burseday to you"---sooooo funny! I wish I had it recorded!!) Ty, Trey, and Tate loved the ice cream, and Tanner thanked them graciously even though he couldn't eat it. After dinner we went home and he opened his presents, and then he got his birthday brownies with 11 candles. I think he had a great day!

Happy birthday Tanner. I remember being in High School when he was a baby and I just loved him to death. He was the only grandchild at the time and we all fell in love with him. Hard to believe that time flies as fast as it does. We miss you!
Too old for birthday treats? Ya, that's definitely a sign of aging... I'll stop reminding you ;) we were sad to miss it- looks like you guys had a great time. Wish I could have heard that lady sing! I liked what you said about him thanking her graciously even though he couldn't eat it! how cute!
