This year our fall break was...um...interesting.
It started out on Friday morning--at 3:30 a.m. Apparently, Ty decided that it was time to get on the road, and woke Kevin and I to let us know. We sent him back to bed for a couple of hours, but ended up leaving the house around 5:30 a.m.
We got to Utah and immediately realized that we Arizona folk just aren't cut out for C-O-L-D weather. Not to mention the fact that Ty decided to spike a fever on our way and felt like garbage. Poor guy!
We stopped in Mona to say "Hello" to Grandpa Ray, and then made our way to the Provo Town Center Mall for dinner with G&G Hawkins. After dinner we headed over to G&G Lewis' to say "Hi", and then headed to bed.
The next day we got up and got ready to go to Olivia's baptism. She looked so cute, and we were so excited for her!! Grandma Lewis talked about the Gift of the Holy Ghost and did an awesome job! It was a great day!!!

By the afternoon, Treyson and Tate had a fever and were feeling punky, but being the selfish parent I am, I put Tanner and Bailee in charge and headed out to sushi with the Lewis clan. We had a great time visiting!
{As soon as Katherine posts her pictures on her blog I'll snatch one of us at dinner}
On Sunday was G&G Young's Annual Pumpkin Party. They fed us all pizza and finger foods and kept us busy with sports trivia and goodie bag decorating. The kids had a blast--as usual--as they scrambled for prizes and candy, and really enjoyed picking out their pumpkins. I'm so glad that we were able to be in Utah for their party this year!!
On Monday we went to the mall to buy Tanner some Vans. I'd been promising, so I thought I'd better make good on my word. He paid half so it wasn't too painful. We ate lunch at the mall (again), and then just chilled for the rest of the day.

Tuesday morning was c-o-l-d. We're slightly crazy, but decided to load up the 4 wheelers and head out west of Eagle Mountain. They boys love to ride and had a blast!
The boys always want to bowl when we go to Utah, so we arranged to meet Becca and her kids at Jack and Jill Bowling after they got out of school on Wednesday. Slater out-bowled everyone--obviously size and age have no bearing on how well you bowl.

When we got back from bowling we went up to Becca's to hang out for a while. Slater wanted to put on his Superman shirt so that he and Ty could match. Too cute!!
We always enjoy the Scarecrow Festival at Thanksgiving Point when we visit in October. This year was no different. It's basically the same photos, but a year later. Brylee followed Tanner around all day. He was so sweet to take her on the pedal bikes.
Thursday was also Ryker's birthday--BIG 5!!!

We went to his house after the Festival for cake and ice cream.
Happy Birthday Ryker!!!
Saturday brought more golfing for Kevin, Tanner, Uncle Scott, and Uncle Todd. Treyson didn't feel good. Tate didn't feel good. I was sick of kids not feeling good.
When the boys got home from golfing, Michelle and I went to lunch and shopping. It was much needed "girl time".
That night we all met up at G&G Lewis' house for a BBQ. We ate burgers and dogs. Treyson threw up all over their table. Nothing ends a good party like throw up.
We went home and put the kids to bed.
The ride home was eventful...full of puke and poop. Everyone had a bucket--just in case. Luckily the only one who needed to use it was Tate. Again and again and again.
I sent Trey to school today. He was fine. But, I had to pick up Ty from school because he was not. Now Tanner isn't feeling so well either. I'm sure my turn is coming. I'm not looking forward to it. Oh well. What can ya do?

Sounds like it was a great trip even with all of the sickies. I hope that you somehow escape it! We too have done the long drive with 4 out of 5 of us getting sick. So not fun! I hope everyone is feeling better! :)
You didn't tell me all this stuff on the phone!!! you just sat and listened to my troubles. You are a sweet sister!
Nothing like puke in the car. At least you had buckets. Carter spilled it one time when we was 3...all over the seatbelt, seat cracks, car seat. It took forever to get the smell out. (Otherwise it sounds like an awesome fall break.)
Tin! I can't believe you guys got sick again! You just can't go to Utah without it!
Sounds like it is routine now and you just deal with it! Good job, I am proud of you!
