Gimme Shelter!
After Tate ate his ice cream the other night, he was "freezing".
He thought the best way to get warm was to build him some "shelter".
This kid cracks me up!!

My New Favorite Time-Waster
I'm sure I am probably a few years behind on finding this gem, but let me tell you...it's AWESOME!! Unless you have a low self esteem--then it could make you feel super un-awesome. {hee hee}
I have found so many projects that I'd like to do, and recipes I'd like to try...
If only I could log off the site...

FOURTEEN
{FOURTEEN}
The number of hours spent with DIRECTV either on the phone or with a technician in my house in the past week.
You would think that someone at that company has a clue.
Turns out...NOPE...NOT SO MUCH!
Ugggggg.........

Another Awesome Find
At Tanner's baseball game on Saturday, I was complaining about not being able to get the red desert dirt out of my kid's baseball uniforms. That is when my friend, Ella, told me about this awesome stuff:
Holy Cow!! I don't think Tanner's white baseball pants have ever been so white!!
The only down-side is that it bleaches out any logo or stitching on the pants--the upside is that I DON'T CARE ABOUT THAT!!!
Woo Hoo!!!

Perspective
A seven year old's perspective of the events of 9/11/01.

He told me that "airplanes crashed into buildings", and "lots of people died in New York".
Pretty perceptive for someone who wasn't even alive when it happened.
This is something that was incredibly impressive to me.
This is called "Healing Field". It is located in Tempe, Arizona, and is the longest running 9/11 tribute to the victims of that horrendous day. I don't know how I have missed it every year, but next year I will be there for sure.
It's hard to believe that it's been 10 years already. I still remember the day as clearly as if it had happened yesterday.
I will never forget.

Small Changes
...can make a huge difference.
I love that I can just add 2 new slip covers and some fun pillows to change the look of my front room.
And...it was a ton cheaper than buying new furniture!
Score!!
