Fabulous Fifteen

It's hard for me to believe that I've been married to my funny hubby for 15 years.
Fifteen. Years.
Where has the time gone??
We decided to take a trip to celebrate and planned to go to Hawaii, but I'm too much of a tight wad and made Kevin cancel it. Then we looked at going back to Mexico, but neither one of us had passports, so we rushed in and got our passports taken care of, only to decide that we didn't really want to go back to Mexico. We entertained the idea of a Mexican Riviera cruise....and then we both had flashbacks of our 1st cruise, my sea sickness and my love affair with the toilet...and quickly decided that neither of us wanted that again. Finally, my mom called and said, "We're coming, and you'd better book something and leave".
Well. Fine.
We ended up in San Diego. And...it was perfect!
We got to San Diego at about 3 p.m. on our anniversary and went to check in to our hotel. We stayed at Paradise Point Resort on Mission Bay. It was such a cool place!!!
The next day we ventured to Sea World. I have to say that Sea World is one of my very favorite places! I could sit all day and watch the dolphins, or the bat rays, or the seals, or the penguins...well, you get the picture, and my sweet husband just followed me around, without complaint. What a sport! It was kind of strange to be there without the kids, but also really nice to not have to sprint from exhibit to exhibit!!
The next day we went to Seaport Village and wandered through the shops, and then made our way to Old Town for some yummy Mexican food. It was a great day!
On Saturday morning we headed up the coast to Carlsbad, and did some shopping at the fantastic outlets there. When we finished shopping we drove a few miles west to the PCH (pacific coast highway) and followed it back to San Diego. There is something about the ocean air and the waves on the sand that puts me completely at ease. I love it there and was feeling especially lucky that I got to be there with my best friend--my favorite person in the whole world!
I'm so excited for the next fifteen and beyond!

More Is More?

For me, usually less is more. But while Trey and Tate were decorating their Valentine boxes they definitely went for more. They had a blast!

Second Grade Musical

Here are some photos from Treyson's second grade musical. I'm not exactly sure what it was about, but there was music...and a musical is nothing without music!!!
Treyson was a turtle. He was supposed to wear a green hat, but we didn't have one, so he was the only turtle who was also a Red Sox fan. He was so cute, and of course, I was proud.

Ouch

Tanner + new bike + big dirt hill jump = BROKEN WRIST!!
It especially stinks when you get selected to be on your baseball league's All Star Team!!!
